Abstract
A new species of Ocotea Aubl. (Lauraceae), Ocotea marumbiensis Brotto & Baitello, is described and illustrated. The species with hermaphrodite flowers resembles Ocotea indecora (Schott) Mez and occurs in the Atlantic Forest in the states of Parana and Santa Catarina, southern Brazil.
