Abstract

Sensors are the major technological advancements which have contributed abundantly in the field of IoT, Big Data etc. Sensors are used to sense, detect and respond to various electrical and optical signals. In earlier days, sensors had very large size with high power consumption and with poor computational capabilities. Hence the smart sensors in the size ranging from tiny dust particles with higher computational, processing capabilities were introduced. This paper takes you on to a tour of various developments in the field of Smart dust technology and the various real-time applications that use the concept.
