Abstract
Based on social cognitive career theory (Lent, 2008) and the concept of empowerment (Le Bossé, 2008), this paper suggests a framework for understanding and supporting teenagers in the development of meaningful professional projects that will help them flourish as social agents in the long-term. Productive and constructive activities (Rabardel, 2005) are intended to help adolescents build their interests by gaining awareness of the interdependence of personal characteristics and environmental conditions, through enlightened goal development, and by designing action strategies for their professional development.
