Abstract
An electron microscope study of the isothermal decomposition in Alnico 8 (Fe-36. 2Co-14Ni-6. 6Al-5. 0Ti-3. 0Cu-0. 1Si) as annealed at 800 C for 10 to 90 min in a magnetic field is described. The results agreed well in many essential aspects with J. W. Cahn's theoretical predictions on spinodal decomposition in a ferromagnetic cubic alloy.
