El desarrollo de la Clasificación Decimal Universal: 1992-2008 y más allá

Abstract

This paper highlights a number of features of the UDC management policy for 2007 and thereafter. Following an overview of the long history of modernization of the classification, which started in the 1960s, with continued revision and development in the 1990s, the major changes and policies in the recent history of UDC revision are summarized. The perspectives of the new UDC editorial team, which was established in 2007, and its policy regarding the improved organization and efficiency of editorial work and the improvement of UDC products, are discussed.
