Abstract
This work presents: the Standards: Planning andnational curricular standards for the Department of implementing national standards for the teaching career. Curriculum: Establishing the Teaching Staff Training within Universities (DTSTU) according to the theoretical background made by experts in educational sciences; Implementing the credit transfer system in the initial training for the teaching staff; Pointing out the curricular connections between Pedagogical High-School and (DTSTU) by applying the principles of continuity and transfer. Institutional Framework: Introducing the wording of «methodology/subject teaching» in the position list of DTSTU; Introducing a «mentor» position as a resource person to run pedagogical training activities in the initial training system; Introducing certain qualification levels in initial teacher training: Teacher / tutor certificate This is to be obtained after having graduated a higher-education institution and acquired the pedagogical training certificate from (DTSTU); Pre-primary and primary school teacher certificate This is to be obtained after having graduated the Pedagogical High-School; Institutions/Schools: Developing a permanent institution network (schools and kindergartens) to apply pedagogical activities by means of bilateral agreements between higher-education institutions and county school inspectorates; Establishing a large variety of partnership-relations with service provider institutions for alternative pedagogical activities (consulting centers, clubs and extra-curricular activities for pupils in other centers, media, language deficiency centers for children, NGOs, etc.).
