Abstract

The oil industry has experienced significant changes towards the automation of its exploration and production processes of hydrocarbons. In that sense, the present investigation was oriented to optimize the medium crude oil dehydration system of the Flow Station of the Amana Operational Complex (AOC) of Petroleos de Venezuela S.A. (PDVSA) and establish a reliable, efficient technological platform and meet AOC's requirements. It was developed a technological proposal that allows the visualization and control of the variables involved in the medium crude oil dehydration system of the flow station of the Amana operational complex, in order to increase the levels of reliability, minimize the operational risk and also contribute to the improvement of the quality of crude oil, preventing the water content associated with it from decreasing its API gravity, and as a consequence, the decrease in its price, and thus guarantee the obtaining of fluids under commercial specifications.
