Abstract

A monotypic new family of projapy- goid Diplura is erected for Octostigma herbivora n.gen. & sp., which is described from specimens found injuring roots of peanuts and melons in the Tonga Islands. The classification of Diplura is discussed, and a key to the families is given. © 1982 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
