Abstract

A basic idea to solve quantum systems using classical methods such as the transfer-matrix and Pfaffian methods or the Bethe Ansatz is explained on the basis of the ST-transformation. Some useful theorems are proven concerning the thermodynamic limit and the infinite limit of the Trotter number. A simple application of this general method is given.
