Study and implementation of just-in-time concept with (automated storage/retrievel system) in Indian construction industry

Abstract

This work presents a detailed analysis of Just-in-Time system. This work talks about the uses and execution of JIT to control the movement on material resource and waste materials in the construction. JIT helps suppliers to deliver materials and goods on the manufacturing floor directly in order to reduce in resource/zero inventory and reducing manufacturing costs. Execution of JIT technology on managing and handling building material movement in construction projects has significant benefits similar to manufacturing. Suggestions for construction quality and quantity, manufacturing preparation, planning, civil contractor and supplier partnerships, and resource procurement are all important considerations to consider when implementing JIT for resource inventory check in construction.
