Abstract
In the current era, students are required to have a broad range of skills such as problem-solving, creative thinking, collaboration, and communication skills. Project-Based Learning (PjBL) is considered a learning approach that can facilitate the development of these skills as it involves students in real-life projects. This research is conducted with the intention of better understanding how teachers can plan effective science learning that is in line with the needs of students. The study is conducted in Elementary Schools in East OKU. This research employs a qualitative method, and data collection is conducted through interviews.. The results show that lesson planning through the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) approach can be an effective way to implement the Independent Curriculum in elementary schools. The implementation of Project-Based Learning in this curriculum has a positive impact on students' understanding and motivation in learning science.
