Educación indígena en Colombia

Abstract

This article contains a description of what education has been for indigenous communities and how it has been implemented in public schools at Bogotá. The emphasis was placed on this city because the different displacement factors, it has been center from receiving different indigenous, Afro-descendant and country persons. The issue of ethnoeducation is addressed as a result of the research of the rights of indigenous peoples in Colombia and the obligation of the State to protect and preserve the ancestral culture of these peoples, as established by the Inter-American System for the Protection of Human Rights and the different instruments that treat the subject.Se aborda el tema de la etnoeducación como resultado de la investigación de los derechos de los pueblos indígenas en Colombia y la obligación del Estado de proteger y preservar la cultura ancestral de los mismos, conforme lo ha establecido el Sistema Interamericano de Protección de Derechos Humanos y los diferentes instrumentos que versan sobre la materia. Este artículo contiene una descripción de lo que ha sido la educación para integrantes de comunidades indígenas en algunos países de Latinoamérica, entre ellos Colombia y en especial en los colegios públicos de Bogotá. Se hizo énfasis en esta ciudad, teniendo en cuenta los diferentes factores de desplazamientos que convierten a la ciudad en un centro receptor de diferentes colectividades indígenas, afrodescendientes y campesinos.
