Abstract
Immunophenotyping is an essential component of the diagnosis of lymphoma using fine-needle aspiration (FNA) and flow cytometry is a powerful technique that is well suited to FNA material. The current article addresses basic principles of flow cytometry data collection and interpretation, presents a differential diagnosis of common lymphomas based on immunophenotype, and discusses potential pitfalls in the interpretation of flow cytometry data. © 2005 American Cancer Society.
