Abstract

The purpose of this research was to identify, explain and analyze, the conceptions of development and learning that are present in the work of professionals working for a public school, aiming at constructing a type of knowledge able to transform educational practices. Besides a class observation itinerary and norms to consult the pedagogical project, norms in relation to interviews - to be applied to the teachers, the pedagogical coordinator and the principal - were elaborated. The data were organized into categories, connecting the development and learning conceptions - presented by the Historical-cultural-theory - to the theories, emerging in the data obtained in the school analyzed. It was verified that the work of those professionals is based, not only in one development or learning theoretical conception. In fact, it was observed the coexistence of many theories, such as the ones conceived by Piaget and Vigotski. The results show that, the school professional approaches are permeated by everyday life, and the invasion of a space for knowledge production is discussed based on actions and reflections related to everyday life.
