Management of territorial sustainability based on the dialogue of knowledge between local actors

Abstract

This article highlights the importance of the university presence at the local level, considering the dialogue of knowledge as a key process in the revitalization of sustainable territories. Therefore, the objective is aimed at proposing a methodology that postulates the dialogue of knowledge based on cognitive capital and synergistic capital, as a basis for managing territorial sustainability. In this regard, it is necessary to promote sustainable development processes at the local level from the dialogical interaction between key actors who represent driving forces for the exchange and appropriation of knowledge. Methodologically, a qualitative and introspective-experiential approach is approached that integrates strategic prospective, participant observation and focus groups in correspondence with the object of study. As a result, a methodological option for local intervention focused on value lessons is configured, from the articulation of key actors around the construction of cognitive and synergistic capital, strengthening of grassroots organizations and municipal management capacity based on emerging leaderships. It concludes on the importance of defining training agendas of a strategic nature, whose concretion demonstrates significant levels of participation of the actors in the planning and management of local development.
