Abstract
Hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT ) is a well-established method of treatment in both non-malignant and malignant hematological diseases. The consequence of gonadotoxic conditioning regimens (chemotherapy and radiotherapy) is premature ovarian insufficiency (POI) in the majority of adult women. The recipients of allogeneic HCT (allo-HCT ) may additionally suffer from the chronic form of graftversus- host disease (cGvHD) with anogenital zone involvement (GvHDgyn) that significantly impairs the quality of women's life. Moreover, prolonged immunosuppressive treatment may lead to secondary neoplasms of genitourinary system. Patients after HCT, especially those with cGvHD, require long-term interdisciplinary care including gynecological monitoring. The paper presents gynecological problems of patients after HCT and a standard of gynecological care after transplantation based on the literature and self-experience.
