Abstract
The objective of this paper is management of natural resources in agricultural crop yield low nicotine tobacco but still maintain the quality of tobacco by managing N fertilization techniques and harvesting tobacco leaves in order to obtain a dose of N and the optimal harvest. In addition, the cost of production of farmers as well as the reduction due to N and P fertilization can be derived excessive on optimal boundary. Part of the plant is not harvested any part of the roots and stems can be re-used as organic fertilizer which is expected to have a high N content. One of maintaining production quality tobacco with tobacco especially keeping low levels of nicotine and sugar levels that can be performed on delivering the optimum dose and the optimum N fertilizer and harvesting tobacco leaves. Experiments using the methods in the management of N fertilizer efficiency and harvesting tobacco leaves so as to obtain a low nicotine levels, namely the provision of treatment in the form of ammonium fertilizer N in the form of ZA with doses of 0 g / k as control, 10 g / tan, 20 gr / tan, 30 gr / plant and 40 gr / plant. Harvesting tobacco leaves from day 90 after planting as a control, 97 days HST, HST 104, HST 111 and HST 118. The results showed significant differences in the time picking on levels of nicotine, sugar, color and flavor, but the effect is not real tehadap aroma and grip, treatment time picking at 16.00 with chopped tobacco produces the best quality in terms of color, aroma, and flavor grip and have the nicotine content of 4.49% and sugar content (Husniawaty, Nia 1992).
