Abstract

In recent years various improvements have been undertaken on the railway networks of metropolitan transport (suburban, underground and tram) that have led to an increase in passenger numbers, as well as the adequacy of the services they can access a greater number of population. These actions have led to a reduction of car use and the decrease of the weather conditions of the people who have benefited from their putting into operation.The development of these transport services are essential in the current socioeconomic situation, it favors the mobility of groups that do not have access to private transport. Also, the timely implementation has brought that many of these services become more competitive in relation to other means of transport in quality and price, which enhances their competitiveness.
