Abstract
This study conduct a comprehensive bibliometric analysis to trace the evolution of agricultural e-commerce (AE), drawing on 1483 documents indexed in Scopus from 1997 to 2024. Using VOSviewer, the study maps publication trends, co-citation patterns, and thematic clusters, to illuminate the intellectual structure of the field. The findings highlight the central roles of of trust, service quality, and technological innovation in driving AE adoption. Four dominant research themes are identified: digital financial inclusion, rural development, technological advancement, and external influences such as the COVID-19 pandemic. This study not only consolidates fragmented research but also contributes novel insights by uncovering cross-disciplinary linkages. It further identifies critical gaps, including the predominance of region-specific studies and limited theoretical integration. The results offer practical implications for researchers and policymakers, underscoring the importance of digital literacy, targeted policy interventions, and sustainable technological integration to enhance AE adoption and impact.
