Formatos novedosos del fotoperiodismo digital. Propuesta analítica basada en indicadores estructurales, formales y funcionales

Abstract

Over the last years there has been a remarkable revival of photography in digital media, in both quantitative and qualitative terms, promoting the emergence of new formats or products in which the image plays an important role. This paper examines these emerging photojournalistic methods, focusing on identification, classification, a systematic description of features and their underlying logic in order to help improve quality standards. The proposal incorporates new analytical approaches for the design, functionality, usability and narrative integration involving slideshows, galleries, storyboards and multimedia reports. The result is an analysis instrument providing a record or book of codes of objective and verifiable data for the empirical study of these new photographic genres. The paper provides a description of the variables, their categorization and possible values, their qualification and potential for application.
