Abstract

'Once is happenstance, twice is coincidence, three times is enemy action.1' But when does statistical significance kick in? Statisticians set the 5% level as Biblical; but as Mark Kelly points out, it ain't necessarily so. © 2013 The Royal Statistical Society.
