Abstract

The decrease of the cooling effect potential of the sea breeze is analyzed by using the calculation results of the meso-scale meteorological model WEE The impacts of urbanization and the distance from the coast have been studied. Because the upper wind velocity and the convective heat transfer coefficient are increased due to the penetration of the sea breeze, sensible heat flux from near the surface to upper air is increased, then low air temperatures near the ground surface continues. This is the mechanism of air temperature reduction near the ground surface by the sea breeze. The impact of urbanization to the heat exchange over the ground.
