Abstract

The article focuses on the application of genetic engineering in the field of sports. It discusses the health risks associated with sports and genetic screening and ethical issues related to DNA testing which includes violation of privacy, risk of DNA from being used for other purposes, the criminalisation of athletes. It further discusses the issue of enhancement of abilities of athletes through gene transfer.
