Abstract

Direct preparation of CoMoP based impregnating solutions has been performed in order to allow the deposition of these elements on alumina without introducing other ions such as those encountered with conventional solutiohs i. e. NH4+ and NO3-. This has been possible by the use of various P-based heteropolymolybdates, the evolution during the preparation of which is presented. Their efficiencies in hydrodesulfurization (HDS) of thiophene compared to classical solids have been discussed in term of a better interaction between Co and Mo.
