Abstract

Non-coding regions of the human genome contain vast regulatory potential that contributes to the coordination of gene expression. Indeed, regulatory elements can reside large genomic distances from the promoters of genes they control. Here we describe approaches recently used to identify functional elements within the complex CFTR locus. © 2011 Landes Bioscience.
