Abstract

The article discusses adequacy, equity, and state high court decisions concerning public schools in the United States. Parents have actively campaigned to fix America's state funding systems, but many ignore the issue of adequacy, which challenges the entire state system of education rather than focusing on single districts. By focusing on schools on a statewide level, challengers of the system can expose the inequalities between different schools and the way parents and children of differing social classes are treated.
