Abstract

Other fields have studied productivity more broadly than the software engineering field. Such work lends a perspective that can contribute to a solid foundation to what we know about software developer productivity. In this chapter, we provide an overview of related work about perhaps the most relevant allied field outside of software engineering, namely, the productivity of knowledge workers.
