Abstract

(1) The temperature as the function of time and position in the plastic house heated by the air through the heating ducts, is analysed by the heat balance method. (2) It has been known by the analysis that the temperature difference as to position does not depend on time. (3) The temperatures observed in a plastic house of Saitama Horti. Exper. Sta. have been near those by the heat balance equationss (4) When the capacity of the heater is small, the temperature near the heater is high. On the contrary, when the capacity of the heater is large, the temperature near the exits of ducts is high. In this example, the scatter of temperatures in the house is made minimum for an intermediate capacity of the heater‥ (5) When the heat transmission coefficient of the curtain in the plastic house is small, the temperature in the house becomes high and uniform for a smaller capacity of the heater. © 1969, The Society of Agricultural Meteorology of Japan.
