Abstract

Twelve compounds were isolated from Artemisia argyi, levl et vant (Compositae) collected in China: ethyl palmitate, ethyl oleate, ethyl linoleate, lupenone, lupenyl acetate, α-amyrin acetate, β-amyrin acetate, glutinone, fernenone, 24-methylene-cycloartanone, simiarenol and trans-phenylitaconic acid. This is the first report of the isolation of trans-phenylitaconic acid from a natural souce. © 1984, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan. All rights reserved.
