Abstract

This paper describes the automated control system of the exploitation process of a ship’s power station. The solution, which incorporates the use of local automation systems to control power sets, the use of power grid and several levels of control units to monitor and control the operation of the entire power plant, ensures high reliability of power supply to marine electrical devices. The implemented solutions enable the introduction of new logic elements into the system without the need for system modifications. Advanced reporting is the basis for preparation of navigating ship documentation, and the logic behind the created solution ensures use as a part of the command system.
