Gender Relations in Community Rancharia: women’s labor in family agriculture As relacoes de genero presentes no meio rural atribuem papeis diferenciados para cada um dos sexos. As mulheres e reservada a esfera do domestico, e aos homens o papel de provedores das familias. Essa divisao do trabalho causa a ‘invisibilidade’ do papel feminino na agricultura familiar, ja que seu trabalho na esfera domestica nao gera renda, e nas tarefas relacionadas a producao e reduzido ao carater de ajuda. Frente a essa situacao, propoe-se analisar as relacoes de genero na divisao social do trabalho entre agricultores e agricultoras familiares da comunidade Rancharia, municipio de Campo Alegre de Goias. Para a realizacao deste trabalho foi efetuada uma revisao teorico-conceitual sobre agricultura familiar, trabalho das mulheres, relacoes de genero e relacoes de poder, pesquisa documental no Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatistica (IBGE) e na Secretaria de Estado de Gestao e Planejamento de Goias (SEGPLAN-GO) e pesquisa de campo, na qual foram aplicados 13 roteiros de entrevista as agricultoras e aos agricultores rurais da comunidade Rancharia, municipio de Campo Alegre de Goias (GO).Palavras – chave: Mulheres; Agricultura familiar; Relacoes de genero; Comunidade Rancharia. AbstractThe gender rations present in rural areas assigns different roles for each sex. Women are restricted to the home sphere; and the man has the role of family provider. This labor division causes the 'invisibility' of women's role in family farming, since their work in the domestic sphere does not generate income and in tasks related to the production their action are considered only as aid. In this situation, the purpose of this study is to treat gender relations and the power relations between men and women in rural areas, and how this discussion can contribute to the visibility of women's work in the countryside. To carry out this work, it was performed a theoretical-conceptual review on familiar agriculture, women’s labor, gender relations, power relations, a documentary research in the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) and in the State Bureau for Management and Planning of Goias (SEGPLAN-GO), and also a field research, in which it were applied 13 interview scripts to female and male farmers in the community of Rancharia, in the municipality of Campo Alegre de Goias (GO).Keywords: Women; Family agriculture; Gender relations; Rancharia Community.
