Abstract

*[Among the Fringillidae, we have found that the Song Sparrow (Melospiza melodia) 'ant.' So far as we know, there are no observations of 'anting' by any Fringillidae in nature, but 3 hand-raised males, taken from the nest at the ages of 5 & 6 days, were observed 'anting' several times.]
