Abstract
In Gripopterygidae, subfamily Paragripopteryginae lilies is declared a junior synonym of Gripoptery- ginae Enderlein. New diagnoses are given for the latter and for subfamilies Leptoperlinae Banks and Antarctoperlinae Enderlein. New subfamilies Dinotoperlinae and Zelandoperlinae are erected. The Zelandoperlinae are divided into new tribes Zelandoperlini, Megaleptoperlini, and Acroperlini. Rungaperla n.gen. is assigned to Zelandoperlini, and the new genera Acroperla, Rakiuraperla, and Holcoperla to Acroperlini. New diagnoses are given for the genera Apteryoperla Wisely, Aucklandobius Enderlein, Nesoperla Tillyard, Zelandoperla Tillyard, and Vesicaperla McLellan. The following new species are described and illustrated: Apteryoperla illiesi, A. nancyae, A. ramsayi, A tillyardi, Holcoperla jacksoni, Nesoperla johnsi, Rakiuraperla nudipes, Acroperla samueli, Zelandobius brevicauda, Vesicaperla kuscheli, V. dugdalei, V. townsendi, and V. eylesi. The male genitalia of Zelandoperla denti- culata McLellan are described, those of Rungaperla campbelli (lilies) are redescribed, and additions are given to the description of Vesicaperla substirpes McLellan. In family Notonemouridac, Spanio- cerca longicauda n.sp. is described and illustrated. © 1977 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
