The assessment of professional interests plays a prominent role in the process of career counseling. However, there are not many career assessment instruments available in Brazil. Given this reality, this study aimed at searching for validity evidence for the “Escala de Aconselhamento Profissional”, a Brazilian scale, by comparing it with another instrument, the “Teste de Fotos de Profissões” (Test of Photos of Professions, a Brazilian version of the Berufsbilder Test), also used to assess professional interest. One hundred ninety-six undergraduate Pedagogy, Dental, and Computer Science students in their 5th and 7th semesters of a private university participated in this study. They were aged between 19 and 49 years (Mean-24.24, Standard Deviation-4.89), and 62.8% were females. The instruments were collectively administered in regular classrooms at the university. Results showed significant correlations between all dimensions of the “Escala de Aconselhamento Profissional” and those of the “Teste de Fotos de Profissões” revealing convergent validity evidence.
