Abstract

(Figure Presented) Above and beyond: A tin sulfur lithium ion battery has an energy density value of the order of 1000 Wh kg-1, which is five times higher than those of conventional batteries that containing intercalated materials (see picture). Replacement of the conventional liquid electrolyte with a polymer membrane brings improvements in the fabrication and safety of the battery. © 2010 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA.
