Abstract

The aim of the paper was to estimate the priority-based weights of alternatives (or attributes) from intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic preference relation by utilizing similarity measure of intuitionistic fuzzy numbers (IFNs). For this purpose, first a similarity measure of IFNs is introduced on the basis of centroid point of IFNs. Thereafter, a new intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic preference relation is developed. In this study, intuitionistic fuzzy linguistic preference relation is applied to construct a pairwise comparison matrix. A numerical example is presented to illustrate the proposed methodology of weight generation.
