Abstract

A novel stereoselective and convergent catalytic method for the cyclopropanation of electron-neutral and -rich olefins by sulfonium ylides is reported which unusually proceeds through olefin activation rather than by metal carbene formation. © 2013 The Royal Society of Chemistry.
