Abstract

The article focuses on the U.S. labor market improvement and the use of subsidized housing programs. Local public housing agencies (PHAs) allocate resources to various Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs based on the local priorities. PHAs can choose to prioritize individuals who are homeless, households with particular housing needs, or households with children or single parents.
