The effects of rotation on the evolution and properties of low-mass stars are first discussed from the pre-main sequence to the red giant phase. We then briefly indicate how some observational constraints available for these stars can help us progress in our understanding of the dynamical processes at work in stellar interiors. © 2013 Owned by the authors, published by EDP Sciences.
