Abstract

This present study aims to determine the effect of quality of work life on employee job satisfaction, the effect of quality of work life on employee work commitment, and the effect of job satisfaction on employee commitment. This study also intends to know the mediation effect job satifaction in the relationship between quality of worklife on organizational commitment. The study was conducted on restaurant employees in Bogor, West Java, Indonesia. The research method was done with a quantitative approach. The research sample was 145 employees. Data analysis using path analysis and processed by the Amos Software Version 23. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between the quality of work life on employee job satisfaction. Quality of work life and job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee job satisfaction. The findings also prove that job satisfaction can mediate the effect of quality of work life on employee commitment to the restaurant industry in Bogor positively and significantly.
