Abstract
Entrepreneurship is important in the sport sector, so more and more graduates with entrepreneurial skills are being demanded. However, studies with this kind of student are scarce. For this reason, the main purpose of this study was to determine the variables that predict the entrepreneurial intentions in university students of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences Degree. The sample consisted in 240 pre-graduate (4th degree) students and post-graduate students of Sport Sciences and Physical Activity of the University of Valencia, with an average age of 23.44 years (SD = ± 3.09) and which 76.40% were men and 23.60% were women. To determine the predicted variables, a questionnaire was used to measure the entrepreneurial intentions and other related variables. The questionnaire was composed of different scales that had been previously validated. The results indicate that perceived control variable (|3 = 0.302) and attitude toward the behavior (|3 = 0.690) were statistically significant (p < 0.001), being the latter variable the greatest weight of the entrepreneurial intentions, while capacities to be an entrepreneur and subjective norm were also significant, but they have an indirect influence in entrepreneurial intention variable. Therefore, it should work mainly on improving the attitude toward the behavior and perceived behavioral control of Physical Activity and Sport Sciences students of Valencia in order to get students with greater entrepreneurial intentions in sports field.
