Abstract
In this article the author discusses EBSCO Information Service's approach to developing its ERM Essentials e-resource management system. EBSCO's approach was to develop a product that could make a difference to e-resource management for librarians. EBSCO surveyed its customers to find out the problems that they wanted resolved. Some of the problems included the time it takes to gather and enter data for effective e-resource management, keeping up with journal changes, and the time it takes to update holdings. The article notes that EBSCO's ERMI system provides solutions to these problems and others.
