Abstract
The biosolids and sludge management are discussed. This include regulation and planning; reduction of biosolids and sludge production; biosolids and sludge characteristics; synthetic organics; storage; pumping; thickening; conditioning; dewatering; heat drying; combustion; pyrolysis; determination of the degree of stabilization and pathogen and vector attraction reduction; aerobic digestion; anaerobic digestion; composting; land application; landfilling; and ocean disposal.
