Abstract

The uncertainty of wind power can cause side-effects indistribution network reconfiguration. For reducing the impact from uncertainty in distribution network reconfiguration, the hard strategy of compressed air assisted wind turbine system (CAAWTS) and the soft strategy based on robust optimization are proposed in this paper. Since the energy storage capacity of CAAWTS is generally small, the performance of the hard strategy is limited. The soft strategy based on robust optimization by creating an uncertain set is applied to enhance the performance of the hard strategy. The proposed robust optimization model of distribution network reconfiguration is then solved by the maximum explicit method. Numerical examples show that the proposed hard and soft strategies can effectively solve the influences of uncertain wind power on the problem of distribution network reconfiguration, while the economic performance of the system can be improved.
