Abstract

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between the regional categories and operational types of after-school childcare in elementary school districts in Yamaguchi Prefecture. Based on the analysis of school district characteristics using the locational conditions and the number of pupils as indicators, school districts were classified into the following four types: “urban type”, “plain type”, “middle type”, and “mountainous type”.
