Abstract

Different human activity causes environmental degradation and decreases in ecosystem stability. A large number of human activities related to environmental problems cause government officials to work hard to provide environmental policies that can help prevent and overcome environmental problems. Jodipan and Arema tourist villages are the impacts of the desire of the Malang city government to develop environmentally sound tourism areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the environmental awareness of the community in Jodipan and Arema tourist villages as tourist villages and compare them. The method used is ex-post facto. The results of the analysis using the Mann Whitney Test because the data are generally not distributed indicate that the value of p (0.002)> 0.05 means that the environmental awareness of the people in the colorful villages of Jodipan and Kampung Biru Arema is significantly different.
