Abstract

This paper presents the results of research conducted at the three Universities of Galicia in order to discover the teaching styles preferred by students pertaining to the Teacher Training Degree. This is a non-experimental crosscurricular research design. Triangulation was used as a research method with instruments like focus groups, interviews and a Likert scale. The results show that the active style is preferred by students opposite to the traditional academic style. We have also noted that men compared to women, show a greater tendency towards traditional styles.
