The multidisciplinary team involved in the Spinal Defects Clinic at Red Cross War Memorial Children's Hospital, Cape Town, South Africa consists of neurosurgeons, urologists, orthopaedic surgeons, stomatherapists and orthotists. Orthopaedic surgeons have a protean involvement in the management of myelomeningocele.
