UPAYA MENINGKATKAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR DAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MATEMATIKA DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN PEMBELAJARAN KOOPERATIF TIPE SNOWBALL THROWING SISWA KELAS VIII A SMP TAMAN DEWASA IBU PAWIYATAN YOGYAKARTA

Abstract

Snowball throwing method is one method to improve student’s motivation to learn and student’s achievement in mathematic. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subject of the research is the class VIIIA SMP Taman Dewasa Ibu Pawiyatan Yogyakarta. It is conducted in two cycles, each cycles consists of planning, acting, observing and reflecting. The data revealed from observation, questionnaire, test and documentation. The result of the research was there are increasing student’s motivation and student’s achievement. Suggestions researchers , teachers can use the learning model as an alternative to snowball throwing in an effort to improve learning motivation and student achievement in math.
