Abstract

The surface pH of the Physarum Plasmodium oscillates with the same period but opposite phase relative to the tensile force production. The peak-to-peak amplitude of the pH waves is usually of the order of 0.1 pH unit or less. No stretch activation is found with pH oscillation. © 1982, The Japan Academy. All rights reserved.
